Where the heavy shadows hide, and the tiny glimmers glow.

Step into the thicket…

Have you ever felt like your brain is a loud, tangled web of thoughts?

Like the outside world is sometimes just too bright, too plastic and too loud?

You aren't supposed to have everything figured out here.

These woods belong to the misfits, the quiet dreamers, the overthinkers, the beautifully weird, and the creatures who know exactly what it feels like to carry a heavy heart.

Come a little closer.

There's lantern light between the trees.

The Hatter and her strange little crew are waiting somewhere inside.

They aren't here to fix you.

They're here to help you notice, question, explore and unravel some of the messy stuff with you.

Welcome to the Shadow-Glimmer Woods.

Let's see what we find. 🖤

You Don't have to Figure yourself out - You Can Simply Get Curious About Yourself

Meet the Residents of the Shadow-Glimmer Woods

The Woods are home to some rather strange creatures.

Some collect thoughts.
Some sit quietly beside you.
Some weave tangled things into something new.
And some appear when you've simply had enough.

Each has their own story, their own little corner of the Woods and something different to help you explore.

They aren't here to fix you or tell you who to be.

They're here to notice, wonder, unravel and get curious alongside you.

So wander through...

You never know who you might meet amongst the shadows and glimmers. 🖤✨

Tangle

Keeper of the Tangled Threads

Tangle lives near the entrance to the Shadow-Glimmer Woods, where hundreds of strange glowing threads twist and weave between the trees.

Some are thoughts.

Some are worries.

Some are feelings, labels, expectations and things other people have said.

And some are so tangled that nobody can quite remember where they started.

Tangle knows what it's like when everything inside feels knotted together and you don't even know which bit you're supposed to deal with first.

But she doesn't try to untangle everything for you.

Instead, she'll settle beneath the roots, pick up one glowing thread and ask:

“Okay... which one shall we look at first?”

Because you don't have to understand everything today.

You don't have to fix the whole web.

Sometimes we can simply notice what's there, become curious about it and take things one thread at a time.

And those tangled threads?

Tangle has discovered they can sometimes be woven into rather beautiful things.

Her message:

“You don't have to untangle everything at once. One thread is enough.” 🕸️💜

Scribble

Collector of Brain-Static

You'll usually hear Scribble before you see him.

Scratch. Scratch. Scribble. SCRIBBLE.

He's the scruffy little shadow-goblin who collects all the noisy stuff your brain insists on replaying.

What if...?

Why did I say that?!

What if they think...?

I should have...

What about tomorrow?

And remember that embarrassing thing from THREE YEARS AGO?!

Yep.

Scribble knows those ones.

His little corner of the Woods is covered in scraps of paper, unfinished sentences, frantic doodles, crossed-out words and thoughts that made perfect sense at 2am but absolutely none by morning.

He doesn't tell you to stop thinking.

And he doesn't pretend he can make every uncomfortable thought disappear.

Instead, Scribble gives those thoughts somewhere else to go for a while.

Write them.

Draw them.

Scribble them out.

Turn them into something ridiculous.

Look at them from somewhere outside your own head.

Because a thought can be loud without necessarily being true, important or something you need to solve immediately.

His message:

“Not every thought needs an answer. Some thoughts just need somewhere to go.” 🖤✏️

Doodle

Finder of Brighter Paths

Doodle is Scribble's green, slightly more optimistic cousin.

Where Scribble collects the brain-static, Doodle tends to rummage through the pile afterwards looking for something interesting.

An idea.

A possibility.

A strange little what if...?

A completely ridiculous thought that somehow leads somewhere brilliant.

Doodle loves messy minds.

Daydreams. Distractions. Half-finished ideas. Strange questions. Things you started and forgot about. Things you're not very good at yet.

He doesn't believe every path needs to be sensible or perfectly planned before you're allowed to follow it.

Sometimes you doodle a line...

follow it...

and discover it leads somewhere you hadn't even considered.

Doodle isn't here to make everything positive either.

Some days are rubbish.

Some things are difficult.

But even amongst the messy stuff, there can still be curiosity, imagination, humour and tiny possibilities waiting to be noticed.

His message:

“You don't need to see the whole path. Let's see where this little line goes.” 💚✏️✨

Echo

Keeper of the Unsaid

Echo lives in one of the quietest parts of the Shadow-Glimmer Woods.

You'll find her amongst old journals, soft blankets, feathers and moonlight.

She doesn't ask lots of questions when you arrive.

She doesn't demand an explanation.

And she certainly doesn't tell you to smile.

Echo understands how exhausting it can be to feel like you're constantly performing yourself for the outside world.

Trying to fit in.

Trying to seem okay.

Trying to say the right thing.

Trying not to be too loud, too quiet, too emotional, too weird, too much... or somehow not enough.

She also knows there are some things we feel long before we know how to explain them.

So Echo keeps space for the unsaid.

The feelings without names.

The thoughts you're still trying to understand.

The words that haven't arrived yet.

You can talk.

You can write.

You can sit quietly.

You can simply exist beside her for a while.

Because silence doesn't always need filling.

And you don't have to perform to deserve somewhere you can belong.

Her message:

You don't have to perform here. You can just be.” 🦉🌙

Grim

Keeper of the Burnt-Out Glow

Grim appears when you've been trying to shine for far too long.

School. Expectations. Friends. Family. Trying to keep up. Trying to get it right. Trying not to disappoint anyone. Trying to look like you're coping when you're absolutely bloody exhausted.

He's a large, incredibly soft black and deep-plum velvet moth, with feathery antennae, mysterious markings across his wings and flashes of brilliant yellow glowing amongst the darkness.

His wings are enormous — because that's his thing.

When the world gets too bright and noisy, Grim opens them and creates a dark, soft little shelter beneath them.

No fluorescent lights.

No notifications.

No expectations.

Just somewhere to stop.

Grim isn't here to tell you to try harder.

He's here to remind you that resting doesn't mean you've failed, your worth isn't measured by how much you manage to do, and even the brightest things need darkness sometimes.

His message:

“You don't have to burn yourself out just to prove you can shine.” 🖤💛
